Throughout the emergency situation, “Rīgas satiksme” has been constantly monitoring passenger flows in public transport and this procedure will also remain unchanged in the future. Information about passenger compartment occupancy is provided by both public transport drivers and by verifying customer applications. Also, all the latest vehicles of “Rīgas satiksme” are equipped with automatic passenger counting systems, thus, when the passenger compartment of the vehicle reaches the specified occupancy level, the traffic operators receive a signal that allows them to react quickly.
